Migratie heeft het uiterlijk van de samenleving meer kleur gegeven. Innerlijk heeft de verkleuring zich nog niet zo snel doorgezet. Itinera streeft naar een maatschappij waarin burgerschap hand in hand gaat met diversiteit. Waarin iedereen wil en kan bijdragen aan het groter geheel, ook mensen in kansarmoede en nieuwkomers. Ook ondernemingen, het middenveld en ieder van ons, moet zijn rol opnemen om de democratie te doen draaien. Itinera zal als bruggenbouwer iedereen hierin stimuleren.

Een betrouwbaar rechtssysteem is de basis, vertrouwen in de politiek moet de ambitie zijn van de overheid. Door te focussen op haar kerntaken, zorgvuldig om te springen met belastinggeld en rekenschap af te leggen.
