Migratie heeft het uiterlijk van de samenleving meer kleur gegeven. Innerlijk heeft de verkleuring zich nog niet zo snel doorgezet. Itinera streeft naar een maatschappij waarin burgerschap hand in hand gaat met diversiteit. Waarin iedereen wil en kan bijdragen aan het groter geheel, ook mensen in kansarmoede en nieuwkomers. Ook ondernemingen, het middenveld en ieder van ons, moet zijn rol opnemen om de democratie te doen draaien. Itinera zal als bruggenbouwer iedereen hierin stimuleren.

Arts education is one of the types of cultural policy for which government spending is the easiest to justify. Itinera also pleads for a revision of the financing of part-time arts education whereby a Matthew effect is being avoided.

Today, the health care expenditure takes more then 10% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP, or the total wealth of a country expressed in euro) in Belgium. Approximate we can speak of 37 billion expenses for health care, on a GDP of 370 billion euros in 2011.
