Itinera compares performances and educational reforms in different Western countries
Both in Flanders and Wallonia educational reform is a political priority. Rightly so. Although Flanders scores on average clearly better than Wallonia, both districts have similar problems: large unequal performances between schools, between pupils within schools, as well as large negative marks with a strong concentration in some disadvantaged groups.
Flanders now opts for a structural reform in the educational activities. Will it be successful? Itinera organized a comparison of performances and reforms in different Western countries. That comparison provides important conclusions.
