Karel Volckaert
Visiting fellow
Karel Volckaert is Fellow at Itinera. He is a partner at riverrun, which advises governments, organisations, and companies on strategy, organisation, and value-and-risk management. In the past, he has worked as a strategist and fund manager in asset management, and as a valuation specialist. Karel is a civil engineer in physics (University of Ghent). As a visiting fellow, he partnered with chief economist Ivan Van de Cloot to write the book Taxshift. His interests include financial markets, sustainability, and climate change.
